I’ve come to one true conclusion. Loving this child doesn’t mean giving in to his whims. Loving this child is about bringing out the best in him, teaching him to love what is difficult and to relish in the satisfaction of having overcome that which held him back. I’ve also learned that a 7yr old has the ability to bring a grown woman to her knees begging for God to just take her now. Not in 5 minutes, but NOW.
