Insane!
Last nights Rangers game was C.R.A.Z.Y. Two different people ran onto the field, the second one wanted to take a long slide down the tarp full of rain water. Speaking of rain - we had FOUR rain delays. I had a foul ball in 315. (TOP level) Lightning struck the building and knocked a chunk out of the facade. We had five double hits (one shy of the record) etc, etc. I LOVE MY JOB.

Myxer - Make your own ringtones and more!
→
Last friday I acquired a new iPhone (which I adore with an indulgent lustiness!). As always it takes a few days to figure out a new piece of technology. I like to think I’m tech savvy but I definitely have a learning curve.
Anyway - the ringtones on the iPhone are pitiful at best and I’ve found myxer to be a great tool for jazzing things up. Thought you might like to know. Cause...
Driving to school
Clayton: Did you know that it's easier to destroy something than it is is to build it.
Me: What do you mean sweetie?
Clayton: Like legos. You can take a long time to build a ship and take it apart in 10 seconds.
Me: True. Most things in life take a long time to build up. Like dinner - I could cook for an hour and we can eat it all up in 15 minutes.
Clayton: Well - because we're hungry.
Me: It was easier to destroy that dinner than it was to build it huh?
Clayton: I bet it's gonna be like that when I get a girlfriend. I'm gonna be mean and she'll run away after all that work making her like me.
Me: (Laughing.) Yep, EXACTLY like that.

In 3 days.
It’s hard to describe how emotional it is to move on. To accept change and more importantly to embrace it. In the past 10 years one thing has remained constant. This small 3 bedroom house out in the middle of nowhere. Now all of those memories will become just that - memories. Moving to a new house is the beginning of something new and for us a true change in the quality of life....

When Jesus comes back to save us; and redeem the bodies for cash and valuable prizes, Lifehacker will have already saved the world. Windows, Macs, iPods, cell phones, email inboxes, and a ginormous number of software programs would be left to rust on your harddrive if not for these tech-blogging superhero’s. But honestly, their genius isn’t limited. I’ve learned so much from...
Him: Are you feeling any better baby?
Her: Yea, a little bit. Maybe even alot better...
Him: That's good! What changed it around?
Her: Hurricane Jenn has left the building.
Him: What a relief.
Her: Plus, My hair looks fuckin' awesome today.
Him: {distant chuckling}
I wish that other crazy lady would just stay away.
Speaking of Roots
Yesterday was interesting. Considering that it was the anniversary of her death - things remained fairly calm. An anxiety attack first thing in the morning wasn’t anticipated or welcome. Not to mention unusual. But considering the circumstances, I suppose that I shouldn’t be surprised. Thankfully it didn’t last. K and I had a massage in the morning (I would give up new shoes to...
Roots and Weeds
A conversation overhead between the 6yr old and the 10yr old while doing spring gardening.
Him: Whatcha diggin' Ally?
Her: Roots
Him: Why are you diggin' those? Why are roots bad?
Her: They're only bad when they're connected to weeds.

The art of friendship. Commitment is everything.
[written some time ago, saved as a draft and edited today.]
K,
Thank you so much for inviting me to go out today. Your timing is always right on target. With the weather so beautiful, and my mood being the way it has, you knew that I would be experiencing one of my bouts with “cabin fever”. We we’re so excited when I told her that we would be heading up to Dallas to see a movie...
Forgotten words. For a reason.
Her: Help me think of this word...
Him: What word?
Her: When you don't want to have sex with anyone but yourself...
Him: notsomuchfun?
Her: That's the one.
